The PAX organization works against ending the weapon epidemic in the US, through innovative public campaigns, which seek solutions for all Americans.
Since the majority of this assembly is younger people, my speech will focus on weapons in proportion to young individuals.

Centers for Disease Control, eight children die every day in connection with guns! That could be your brother! That could be your sister! Did you know that 60 million Americans own a weapon and that sixty-six homicides happened with a weapon in 2000? Think about how dangerous weapons are and what could potentially happen to you! However, we will not deny you any rights.
Do not get us wrong; PAX believes in the second amendment and freedom, but we do not believe in killings! There is a reason why alcohol, tobacco, etc. have high age limits - that is because teenagers cannot control it! Instead of depriving the right to carry a weapon, we could at least raise the minimum age nationally.
How many of you believe that having a weapon equals safety? Well, let us make guns even safer then! We believe that gunlocks are a necessity since they prevent numerous unintended deaths, which affect young people frequently according to US Center for Disease Control. Furthermore, they will reduce the amount of individuals who feel unsafe because of guns.
I will not lie; The NRA’s slogan, concerning the statement that guns do not kill people but people do, can be true. Participation in our ASK campaign is easy and enlightening. Ask your neighbor if there is a gun where children play, and you will be surprised.
Additionally, we have I hotline, called SPEAK UP, where you can call in and tell us about a weapon threat you know. In four out of five school shootings, the perpetrator told someone about the attack beforehand, which means that stopping shootings is possible! 16-year-old Josh Stevens did not do anything, when his friend Andy told him that he was to shoot at their school, and Josh regretted it ever since, given that two pupils were dead the next day and 13 wounded. That perfectly exemplify the opportunity of SPEAK UP and the fact that we need weapon restrictions.
To sum it up, weapons is the cause of numerous deaths, especially regarding young people in preparation for school shootings. Furthermore, PAX believes in the second amendment and our rights.
