Many people around the world who haven’t had suicidal thoughts nor been related to a person who has, have the tendency to judge a person in ways of calling them weak, selfish and a quitter. My opinion on the following is very different.

I know how hard it is to be a family member of a suicidal person; it was hard of me so I can’t imagine how hard it was for them. It hurt but all I could do was support and let them know I am here for them. Sometimes family support isn’t always enough luckily there are psychologists and therapy clinics such as Akeso, Poortview and Tara who all have an in-house rehabilitation programs. The patient will see a psychologist, psychiatrist, and social worker and be exposed to different types of therapy. But sometimes it is not enough, does that make them selfish?
Are they selfish or are you the one who is selfish because they maybe don’t want to be here or aren’t here anymore. Have you taken in to account how much pain they go through and that they really can’t do it anymore? They go in and out of rehab for you and are still hurting but no they are selfish. Okay I understand you love them and don’t want them to go but you keeping them around causes even more pain for them.
