Don't share drinks. Now I know that it is common practice for people to share drinks with their friends. Most of the time it is not a big deal to do so when you are out, but during plague season, sharing drinks is almost a guaranteed way to get infected.
3. SLEEP. Many of you will say that this is easier said than done, and I know that I am just as guilty of not getting enough sleep as anyone else. However experts agree that getting plenty of rest is crucial in the fight against any illness, especially the plague.
4. Stay hydrated. Before you ask, no I am not talking about the types of drinks that you get at parties. Those will do you no good here. You should drink lots of water, Gatorade, and any other fluids that make you feel better. Drinking fluids is a crucial step, as a fever will often lead to dehydration.
5. Talk to your professors. There are many classes on campus where attendance is mandatory, and you can only miss a couple classes, but try and talk to your professors. They definitely don't want to get sick, and will more than likely understand if you miss a class or two in order to try and get better.
Even though we are surrounded, all is not lost. If you follow the simple steps listed above, then you should be safe. The plague can affect us all at the most inconvenient time, but as someone who survived it, you will make it
