Firstly, There is child trafficking which is becoming more popular in the industry. Some of the things that children are getting sold for are adultery, beastiality, child grooming, child pornography, child prostitution, and forced labour. Secondly, sex trafficking is probably the most popular one that I’m going to talk about. Woman and children are forced into acts of prostitution. Thirdly, there is also labour trafficking which is pretty self explanatory. There is also trafficking for organ trade which there are two types. Number one is, traffickers force you to give up an organ and number two is, the person that’s being trafficked informally or formally agrees to give up their organ for money. Sometimes traffickers will just not give the victim the money that they were supposed to be given. Finally, there is forced marriage where one or both individuals are forced into marriage.
There are a lot of consequences for the victims of human trafficking. There are short term and long term psychological effects for the victims, and it depends on what type of trafficking you were involved in. Firstly, short-term effects are usual stress induced by fear, threats and physical and emotional abuse. The long term effects are usual trauma over long periods of time.
