You might read the title and say "What does the school facility, students, and its functioning have to do with Halloween?", well as we have a day on campus were students are allowed to wear any costume they want (as long as it follows the administrations guidelines) on the last days of October. While you have fair, well suited guidelines already in play on those special days, I would like you to consider adding another significant one. We all know America as melting pot ,but in fact its not its more a tossed salad to be more precise. We all coexist together with all of different cultures, religions, and traditions, but we still retain them as separate and being unique.

This is a favorite during football season as well as Halloween too, and you see in the local news those football teams are not on well terms. What most people don't understand is that this item is immensely sacred among the Plains Indigenous Peoples , each feather is earned by doing an exceptional task or rewarded for military duties. It holds religious significance and is only worn on two occasions the battlefield and formal events and i don't think Halloween is a formal occasion at all. Even if they claimed native ancestry which is probably not even true in the first place its extremely disrespectful to wear it as a costume.
Furthermore, I would like to add that cultural appropriation and insensitive cover all cultures just not indigenous ones, dressing up like a "hillbilly", sultan, kimono girl, and any other rude or insensitive costume having to do with cultures should be banned.
