MA's should understand who is at most risk and understanding what the disease is more about. In 2015, it has been estimated that 30.3 million Americans had diabetes. MA's need to be sure to tell patients if they are at greater risk and if so, let them know the signs and symptoms so they can get treated immediately before it gets worse.
