Speech Topic: Ninjas
1. Evaluate the success of your introduction.
I feel that my introduction did a good job of getting my audience’s attention by catching there attention with the picture of one of the disguise commonly used by ninjas. I also feel that I did an ok job at establishing my credibility. But I think that a rushed a bit at the begging and started off a little flustered.
2. Evaluate your delivery.
For most of my speech I feel that I did a good job presenting my speech to the class over there were a few times when I stumbled such as when I showed the climbing claws. And when talking about how ninjas and samurai relate to each other.

There were a few times in the speech were I got flustered and needed to stop and regain my composer but those are hard to see from the audience perspective. Over all I feel that I was a fairly strong speaker but could improve on my composure a little more.
8. How did you feel before, during, and after the speech?
I felt vary nervous before, during, and after the speech. But after looking at it now I can see that even thought I was nervous I was a bel to keep up my composure enough to present the information in a way that seemed confident. Before the speech I got to the class room at 8:00 so that I could try to practice with no one there. I think that this is one of the main things that helped me to keep my composure and present the speech effectively.
9. Do you have other comments about this presentation?
I think that the visual aids were a good addition but could have been used to better effect if I had paced myself better as a result I ended up skipping a slide witch I fell took away from the presentation. One other note I have was that I did a good job at keeping eye contact with the

My outside speaker critique I attended a class where my introduction to supply chain management professor brought in Andrew Goltra who is currently the Director of Merchandising at ULine. Andrew’s presentation took about an hour or so. Andrew Goltra was a very good speaker, but there was definitely some room for improvement based off what I have learned about with presentation best practices. I could have a long list of both good and bad aspects during his presentation, but for the sake of this assignment I’m going to focus on five aspects from his speech that involved both good and bad practices. The pros of Andrew Goltra’s presentation include: how he established his credibility, usage of visual aids, and his delivery; The cons of the presentation…

After presenting and completing my visual informative speech, there were several strengths and weaknesses present throughout my speech. Some of my strengths, with respect to the content of the speech as I did my visual presentation, was that I did a good job with the introduction. The introduction involved introducing my topic and grabbing the attention of my audience. Also, I had great supporting materials and most importantly great organization of my main points. As for the delivery aspect of my speech, according to the video, I had a good posture and used my flash cards very well, which were very helpful in delivering my speech.…

My video seemed to be clear enough, the audio was not as good as I had hoped. I am proud I finally got the laptop to work with me and stayed relatively calm during the ordeal. I tried to get the audience in front of me as much as I could, since I do not have a classroom available to me. Overall, I think I have improved some from my "Just Bag It" speech. 2.…

More or less, I got the reaction I wanted from the audience. I felt like it was not so boring that I lost anyone, and I definitely got a couple laughs at some of the jokes I tried. If I were to rewrite or perform my speech again, I’d probably do a few things differently. The main thing I’d do differently, would be to look up from the paper more. Before giving my speech, I did not think this would be a challenge, but once I was actually up there with all my nerves, I found it pretty difficult, to sustain speaking without looking at my script.…

Firstly I wasn’t very happy with how much I relied on reading off my cards during the speech. After watching the speech it seemed as if over half of my speech was directly read from my notes and I would prefer to have more of the speech memorized. The second thing I could have improved on was my facial expression. My facial expression in the speech appeared to be bland and non-changing. I would like to have a more passionate facial expression that varies throughout the speech according to the point I am trying to present.…

However, in this speech I did a much better job talking with my hands than in any other of my speeches. WEAKNESSES Just like how I had plenty of strengths, there are definitely still things I need to work on. My speech would have gone so much better if I was better organized and practiced more. I kind of just threw some important information together without thinking about everything that should be included in the speech. The information I included was really good, however I just needed to add more and organize it better.…

It probably could have made my speech better and would have been easier to work on my body language. (3) Repeating words. Since I didn’t have an outline with me on stage, I was basing my entire speech off my memory. When I was giving my presentation, I didn’t realize that I was repeating some words or sentences over and over. For example, “we wanted to visit him.…

The speaker did well on speaking clearly, made a good eye contact, and most importantly was he had a good transition throughout his speech. Firstly, he spoke very clearly through his speech because I can hear each of the single words that he spoke. It was important that the audience hear what he is talking about. Secondly, he made a good eye contact to the audience. He did not just focus on reading his note cards.…

On my last speech, I discussed why I believe elite college athletes should be paid. I was very satisfied with how my speech went. I was able to improve on my speaking because I worked on the body language portion of my speech increasingly, I was more confident going into the speech, and I feel I persuaded my audience to agree with me. As I prepared for my speech, I worked on my body language and vocal variation.…

In reflection to my second speech in public speaking, I believe it turned out better this time than the last. When I got up in front of the class, I was a little shaken up. After noticing the speaker’s confidence during the speech, it became clear that his calmness and ability to speak clearly, his ability to refer to his notes and to use the power point at the same time and also his ability to ensure he was the source of the information he was giving made his delivery good. This informative speech could have been improved with more body movement during the transitions and a good eye contact with the…

Up during my speech specificly the last one, i felt super nervous, but looking back i appeared confident and great body gestures. The one thing that doesn 't surprise me is that in all my speeches i managed to have a great tone of voice and enthusiasm. Personally my strongest performance had to be the persuasive speech, after looking at it i noticed i looked the most confident, my content, my structure, and my transitions were spot on. My weekest performance however was my first speech, i looked so nervous, i had very little content, i was not into the speech, no transitions, and like i said i learned a lot from this…

However, I personally felt nervous as I was talking. This was reinforced by feedback I received which said “you seemed slightly nervous at first but then as confidence grew the teaching became increasingly better.” I felt this was due to a lack of preparation and could have easily been resolved by practice and repetition. Also, next time I will prepare some notes to prompt me and to ensure I do not forget to mention any important details the students may…
