Attention Getter– (START SLIDE 1) Good Morning/Afternoon. Before I begin my speech, I would like to share with you some interesting facts about water consumption. Did you know that the average human adult consists of 72% water? That’s right. 72% water. And not only that, but we achieve the highest consistency of water when we are first born, being approximately 90% water weight.
B. Relevance – These facts clearly show how vital water is for the human body and how relevant water is throughout our lifespans. As we all obviously know, we must drink water in order to stay alive, otherwise… we die. But unfortunately, many people do not pay attention to how much water they consume daily and most of the time they end up dehydrating themselves, which

Establish Credibility – I know the importance of drinking enough water routinely because I have personally experienced these dangers myself. At one point I had been so dehydrated that I had almost collapsed on my front lawn due to simply not drinking enough water.
D. Thesis Statement – That’s when I came to realize how vital it is to consume enough water daily. This is why today, I will discuss with you on why you should drink more water and more specially, drink about 8 glasses or 2 liters of water on a daily basis. (NEXT SLIDE 3)
E. Preview Main Points – In this speech, I will go over 3 main points that will hopefully persuade you into drinking more water in your daily life. First, I will discuss the possible dangers and risks for not drinking the correct amount of water. Second, I will talk to you about the many benefits of frequently hydrating yourself. And finally, I will present to you the quick and easy methods of making sure that you’re getting enough water every day and to making water more accessible to you.

As we know, drinking water will keep our organs functioning and our minds straight. But what are some of the benefits of in-taking more water on a routinely basis? According to Organicfacts.net, upping your water intake will help you lose weight. Studies have found that when participants drink water before a meal, they lose weight faster than those who did NOT drink water before a meal. By drinking extra water right before eating, you will help yourself to eat less by making yourself feel full. Another benefit to drinking more water is that it may also boost your metabolism.
