Specific Purpose
To inform my audience about the discovery of the well preserved Mayan village Caren in the volcanic ash, and the history of it.
Central Idea
Ceren the frozen in time village was preserved and the history of its people.
Introduction
We know or at least heard of Pompeii, the Italian city that was buried under the volcanic ash for many centuries until it was discovered.
In one unfortunate day, the city of Pompeii witnessed the wrath of the X mountain when a volcano erupted burying the city and its citizens under thousands of tons of volcanic ashes.

o People of Ceren had freedom of worship, and they practiced their religious activities without any interference from royalty or leaders.

The finale point I would like to talk about is the everyday life of the villagers in Ceren

According to archaeology.about.com, the artifacts that were found in Ceren gave us an idea of how villagers practiced their daily normal lives. o Archeologists were able to find everyday tools that villagers used. o They found things like cooking tools that probably used in the kitchen and tools used for storing food. o The rooms found inside the houses of the villagers, such as the feasting rooms provided an idea that people had specific times and places in their houses to have their daily meals. o Researchers found evidences of some of the food that the villagers farmed and ate, and mainly were starchy roots or as it is known today as cassava and people still use it to make foods like tortillas.
Conclusion
The discovery of Ceren village was one of kind indeed.
It gave us a lot of images and ideas about the people who lived in that region 1400 years
