We included emotional appeals in our presentation to allow them to realize how prominent the obesity issue is in California. We believed that if we presented the risks of obesity it would persuade the audience into realizing that it is a major issue and should be taken into account. Some of the risks we discussed were diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea. All these risks that I have just listed can lead to drastic results which can involve death. With the information we gathered we were able to find out the rank of our state when it comes to obesity as well as how rapidly it is increasing. In addition, we also were able to compare the obesity rates by age and race and how basically everyone is being affected. My group and I were even able to discuss some of the risks the come with obesity and go into detail on how they affect the human body and why it is important to know.
