The History of Australia has been one of prosperity and of suffering, with a 228 chapter story including the First Fleet’s arrival, the World Wars, The Federation, Hurricane Katrina, The Great Depression and the election of Tony Abbott. For such a young country so much has been achieved.

Tourism
Australia is a hotspot for tourism. It’s pristine beaches and friendly cities are all part of the appeal. The country has its fair share of activities to arouse tourist’s excitement, such as a great wonder of the world in the Great Barrier Reef, which is located in Queensland. The reef is 300km long, as closest it can be to parallel to the Queensland coast. It is full of gorgeously vibrant coral, and was listed by UNESCO as a World heritage site in the year 1981.
Another tourist hotspot is the Great Ocean Road, located in Victoria , and is said to be the best scenic drives possible to experience. It would take almost a full day to drive the official length of 243 kilometres, also while experiencing the winding narrow roads and panoramic views of the ocean and rain forests.
