The Food Scholarship will not only benefit me, but it will indirectly benefit my mother in that she will not have to buy more food than normal for me to eat, along with two other dependents to feed. I would benefit by not having to schedule when and how much I can eat in a day to make the food last for a week. I would also be exposed to a higher variety of healthy food, including more fruits and vegetables. Most of my meals only consist of meats, carbohydrates, and grains, leaving a prominent deficit in vegetable and fruit intake. This scholarship would also allow me to remain in Athens on Saturdays to socialize more with my peers outside of class, participate in weekend event around Athens, and volunteer on weekend service opportunities with
