Panama Flag The country of Panama is rather small and might be known mostly for the Panama Canal, but what about the flag? Every part of the Panama flag represents something significant to their countries beliefs and past. This is the same for just about every country such as the United States thirteen stripes and fifty stars along with the colors all have a meaning. Along with a brief but an important history of their flag and Panama also has etiquette for their flag for their flag just like just about all other countries. The flag was initially made by Maria Ossa de Amador who had to carefully and underhandedly make it on November 1 of 1903. It had to slyly be made so that the Colombian army didn’t discover the flags production that she was taking under. She had to be very precise on the flags because she had to make three different flags to fly when they declare their independence which happened on November 3rd.
