Domestic Violence Domestic violence is a topic that has many variations of views. It might include husbands beating wives, children being abused, just women in general, and sometimes men being the center of domestic violence. The people that inflict domestic violence on others, many times a spouse, they do not see that there is a problem. Committing a domestic violence act can result in going in front of a judge. Watching television in modern times, there is so many commercials about the effects of domestic violence. Before getting married many women may experience some type of abuse. This many times comes from a male role model such as a father. Being slapped, kicked, or even assaulted with a weapon. This previous relationship assault can lead women to steer away from men in general. Domestic violence can occur when a women is just dating a man. Premarital violence is a red flag for women. Many women do not see past the love for the man and think just one time it is ok as long as he apologizes and promises to never do it again. Early experience with violence can lead to learned violence. When becoming a wife the first five years are spent with happiness and learning to feel comfortable around each other. Once the five years wear off for many women and men the children start to be born, or the worries start to set in maybe with a house or a job. Thinking the men is supposed to be the bread winner while the women stays at home, men worrying about where the money will come from makes them feel like less of man, when not being able to provide. After so long of being married to one another the romantic aspect of marriage declines. Less outings with the loved one, less time spent trying to make each other happy. Some men drink when at home or out with friends. Having domestic violence in a home already then adding alcohol to it may make it worse. Even though very few incidents are done while the husband is drinking, they seem to not take the responsibility for it. Even have the guts to admit that they did hit their wife, but blamed it all on the drink. Husbands like to say the wife was nagging and going on and on about something that they were tired of hearing. So they committed the act of violence to get her to be quiet. Domestic violence is rarely talked about between spouses, many go about their day without mentioning it to anyone. Even though most acts are not planned to happen, many of them occur on the weekends. This might be because the couples are together for long amounts of time, the weekends may lead to more stress in the home, or the wives might confront the husband with a conversation he does not like. With that said most altercations are started by a verbal argument. Majority of women say assault happens in the home while a minimum amount happens in the
