“My had is so lost in America. What’s the use of all my hard working if i’m not in it?” entail themselves to what they call the “American Dream”. This American Dream is usually defined as being successful and to pursue one’s own personal dreams.The American Dream now a days is harder to see and obtain, but still accessible to some. From recent Americans studies, it nearly seems impossible to achieve. For example, “ In the survey, nearly 83% say that there isn’t much left to save after they’ve paid for their bills. Statistics from the Commerce Department bear this out; the savings rate for Americans is the the lowests it’s been in 73 years”. In a Barack Obama speech he says, “ My parents are shared not an improbable love; they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation. They imagined me going to the best schools in the land, and even though they weren’t rich, because in a generous America you don’t even have to be rich to achieve your potential”. This shows that in America you have the opportunities to your abilities. This proves that you don’t need to be wealthy to achieve your abilities and get ahead. On the other hand other may disagree and imply that the essentials needed to succeed and get ahead are out of their reach because of maybe financial problems. But like Obama said that you don’t need to be rich to achieve your potential. There governmental programs that help,you with financial aid or food stamps to help you out. In addition to this is a personal experience. My mom for example was from Mexico and as an immigrant she know how America was a land of opportunity. She was poor and started at rock bottom but she was determined to work her for herself and me as well as my brother and sister. So she did and use every opportunities she could use to provide for her family. For instance she worked long hours in the fields while me and my siblings went to school. Over the years she kept pushing forward and now she has her own daycare and house. And this not only implies to immigrants but applies to all. In other words
