How did you parents know if you were a boy or girl before you were even born? Well, the doctors use a machine that projects ultrasound waves into the stomach and shows how they reflected back. But what is ultrasound? It’s a type of sound wave that has a higher frequency than what we can hear. There’s also the opposite, which is called infrasound waves. They are also sound waves but they have a lower frequency than what we can detect with our ears. We have been researching it for hundreds of years and I believe we can for a few hundred more.
