Do you love winter? How the snow piles up over everything and turns into a white, plush, cold environment? Well if you love winter time and sports as well then you will love winter sports. Winter Sports are sports that are participated in the winter when it snows. Popular winter sports are hockey, ice skating, snowboarding, etc. Just like any other sport, you must wear equipment to stay safe and always be protected at all times. With winter sports being colder than any other seasonal sports, you must wear extra layers to stay warm because of the snow and temperature.
The winter sport I have found interesting to talk about is snowboarding. Before you snowboard, you must have the right gear such as a snowboard helmet, gloves, goggles, padded shorts &/or pants, Body Armor, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads. In three decades, snowboarding has exceeded in popularity and became the most known of all winter sports. Along with people participating in snowboarding, injury has exceeded as well.

When it comes to designing a helmet, physics plays an important role. Newton’s second law of motion demonstrates the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration, explaining that the force is equal to the mass of an object times the acceleration. If we apply this rule to football, it can be concluded that although the mass (of the football player) is unlikely to be changed, the acceleration can be. The new Zero1 helmet was specifically designed to address the acceleration a player experiences during impact in order to reduce these sheering forces (VICIS, 2016). Even though this helmet is brand new, the Zero1 has been tested in many supervised and controlled settings using players from the NFL, the National Collegiate Athletic Association…
