Sharpening your skates makes it much easier to stay balanced and maneuver on the ice. My tip for this is make sure Lenny isn’t talking to anyone while sharpening your skates, when he talks he tends to sharpen them uneven and it makes a big difference when you are trying to skate.
The next thing to do after leaving Instant Replay is find the Ice Rink. In Stamford we have a total of five public rinks so this should be easy. The next thing to do is put your skates on and lace them up. Since your still very young dad will do this for you, but I’m going to tell you how to do it anyway. First you have to sit down on one of the benches or chairs in the rink. Then you loosen your skates. Next you put both skates on just like shoes, over your toe and slide your heel in, make sure your foot is all the way in skate. Then it's time to tighten your skates. Everyone likes their skates tied a different way, but when learning how to skate you want them tight as possible. When tying your skates start at the lace closets to your toe and pull up as high as you can to make the skates tight, you do this with every lace on the skate. When you get to the top lace you should have a lot of extra lace, since you are a beginner wrap the lace around the ankle of your boot the left lace going around from the left and finishing on the right side and the right lace wrapping around the ankle and ending on the left. Only wrap your laces around your skates when you are learning how to skate, once you get good don't do this, it a sign that you have weak ankles and kids will make fun of you as you get older. Now that your skates are tied tight double check to make sure your ankle is locked in tight to the skate, if it isn’t you might break your ankle and that wouldn't be
