Rihanna scores number one in the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) Digital Single Awards list with over 100 million units being streamed and downloaded, Billboard reported.

On Wednesday, July 1, RIAA announced that the "FourFiveSeconds" singer is the first artist enlisted to have exceeded the recording association's 100 million albums threshold.

With RIAA's counted download sales and high demand streams in U.S, the Chairman and CEO of the association, Cary Sherman, released a statement, saying that it's a "historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career.

"Congratulations to Rihanna! She has not only surpassed RIAA's one-hundred million mark, but also is the first artist to do so. It's an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career." Sherman said.

For the last ten years, Riri was able to draw hits from her 37 released singles. Notably, her collaboration with the 31-year old singer-songwriter Calvin Harris on the single "We Found Love" was one of her chart-topper albums which compiled a total of nine multi-Platinum awards from the association.

Rihanna's other albums, including "What's My Name", "Stay" and "Only Girl" have also received a six-time multi-Platinum awards and the rest of her singles have also gone multi-platinum.

The chart-topper superstar has sold 7.5 million albums across the United States, with her "Good Girl Gone Bad" album in 2007 that reached two-time multi-Platinum and her other five singles that have gone Platinum.

Pop stars Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Kanye West and Lady Gaga are next to Riri's 100 million units, with 88, 79, 46.5 and 39.5 million digital albums logged, according to the RIAA's report.
