When someone comes up to you and asks, “What do you think of Ray Lewis,” what comes to mind? Was he an amazing football all-star or someone who got away with murder? I look at him as a loving father, great sports host, and a legend on the field. Hopefully by reading this paper you will join my side and look at him as one of the greatest defensive backs ever to step foot onto a football field. It all started on May 15, 1975 in a small town called, Bartow, Florida where a legend in the making was born. His father wasn’t much of an impact on his life, so he was the man of the house, looking out for his mom, brother, and 3 sisters. Lewis was a record breaking champion in his high school days; he beat over 10 all-time school wrestling records and some are still standing. He didn’t ever have a dad in the household, so his mom moved on from boyfriend to boyfriend looking for the right one to come along. Eventually when Lewis was only 13 he found out that his mom’s current boyfriend at the time was beating her. Lewis was so enraged he set a very strict workout plan and swore no man would ever lay his hands on his mother again. …show more content…
