Megan Mincey is a versatile actress, model and philanthropist. Megan Mincey was born in Hinesville, Georgia, on April 2nd, 1986. She was raised outside of Brunswick on the Georgia coast. Very early on in life she developed a love for the arts, entertaining, and especially theater. Mincey was born the eldest of four and a natural performer; her father, Will, worked as a IT Specialist and served in the Air National Guard while her mother, Perry, owned a construction company. As a child, Megan’s love for the arts were sparked by plays at the local Ritz Theater, in which her Dede took her to see. She was amused by reenacting commercials and T.V. shows; on weekends would have her grandparents film her improv acts. She was smitten by Lucille Ball …show more content…
While she was ready to go and not look back, her mother voiced her concerns and wanted to go along with her. The scout told her mother that in England, when you’re 16, you’re considered an adult, so having your mother come with, would not look right. To travel to London, she would need at least 10 jobs showing that she could get work overseas and so she decided to try her luck in the states. At the age of 18, Mincey landed her first commercial for a high-end salon in Atlanta and in 2010, appeared on Lifetime’s "Drop Dead Diva." Her resume continued to grow over the following years on set of shows like "The Game", "Single Ladies", "Hindsight", "Daytime Divas", "Den of Thieves", "Being Mary Jane", "The Dunk King", "Family Feud", a pilot entitled “Infatuation”. She then went on to major motion film sets such as "Magic Mike 2", "Let’s be Cops", "Dirty Grandpa", "The Nice Guys", and "Hangman" as well as indie film, "The Killing Secret". Mincey starred in popular web series, Studville Tv and guest starred in upcoming series, Priceless. In 2011, she tried her hand at producing and landed the position of executive producer of The Ms. JJ Foxx Show.
