I mean at the end of the day , it is their lives and their health.

Some people ( including me ) are for medicated Marijuana because “ marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS -- or by the harsh drugs sometimes

People have the right to indulge in any form of activity as they please as long as it does not cause harm or have any serious implications on others. Also, it serves no purpose to brand marijuana as an illegal drug since it…

The Long-Term Issues with Legalizing Recreational Marijuana The major issue with legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in California, or any other state, is the harm it can do to one’s mental health, the way it takes away a person’s capacity to carry out daily tasks productively, and finally how all people, including children will be exposed to it in public, even if they are against it. Medical marijuana that is used by people with serious health conditions should not be made illegal, but should also not be easily accessible to the general public, but only for those who truly need it, such as cancer patients. However medical marijuana has been proven effective in helping to relieve pain in patients with serious health issues who truly need it. The use of recreational marijuana should not be legalized in any state due…

However, this impedance will not change with current policies surrounding this controversial topic. Many proponents of medical marijuana argue for its rescheduling, however a schedule II status only deems marijuana with “accepted medical use in treatment with severe restrictions” looping it with other class II drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone. A schedule II status will allow PCPs to prescribe marijuana without fear of prosecution. Medical research is still hindered since the DEA only allows NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) to source marijuana from the University of Mississippi creating a supply monopoly thus enforcing limitations and slowing the progress of marijuana research. Consequently, nurses and healthcare professionals should lend their expertise and voice for policy reform in order to allow for increasing advances in research for marijuana’s significance in medicine (Hudak,…
