Imagine you're in the middle of having a conversation with someone and they start smoking a blunt, and you start thinking to yourself is that even legal? Why would someone want to do that and potentially harm themselves? “Is it even illegal to do that” I ask, “It is legal because I have my medical card and my doctor prescribed it for me” I ask, “Why would any doctor prescribe that for someone?” isn't there anything else you could use to get rid of the pain” “Im sure there is but this works and it's what my doctor prescribed to help my pain I have glaucoma and it is what helps get rid of the pain for me” “Isn't there anything doctor prescribed for me”. Marijuana is one of the most popular drugs used among teens today 11% of eighth graders, 24% of 10th graders, and 32% of 12th graders (“Drug Facts”) There are several reasons I picked marijuana as my research topic. One of those reasons is you hear about kids doing it all the time in school. Some people it may have affected them in a good way maybe there kid couldn't stop having seizures and there doctor prescribed them marijuana to help and they stopped having seizures how could you tell someone in that situation that the drug is bad and should be illegal. Marijuana has its pros and cons but I think if you look at it you will find that the pros outweigh the cons by a lot for some people I don't really see a reason why you wouldn't legalize it because it can help cure a lot of diseases and it would also save the government a lot of money which they could use for other important things such as for educations or roads or other random
