On Christmas morning 2007, my Great-Grandpa Schaefer passed away from Leukemia. As each day passed from that Christmas, my interest in Leukemia has grown. I wonder what the causes and symptoms are for Leukemia and if there are any cures or different types of it. I also wonder what are the major effects of Leukemia. There are two different main types of Leukemia: Acute and Chronic.
Acute Leukemia is a type of cancer that may affect red and white blood cells and these cells are more immature than chronic. The blood cells coming from the body have not fully mature yet. Chronic is more mature in the blood cells and happens slowly over a period of a few years. Also Chronic is mainly found in adults. The causes of Leukemia are for the most part
