The minimum requirements for this occupation is a high school diploma. The funny thing is you could go to college to do something like sports sciences and become a game warden. Still, the majority of people who want to become a game warden take courses that fit the job, such as conservation, law enforcement, and wildlife classes. And most people have at least an associate’s degree and still a big portion go on to get their bachelor’s degree. I learned a lot of these things when I job shadowed a game warden back home, Shae Magstadt. He told me a lot of things wardens use as long as information I found off of O*NET. Some of the tools that they use are pickups or other motor vehicles to go and check stuff out like animal carcasses they see. They also use handcuffs in case they do have to arrest someone for breaking the law, or hold them for a while. They use guns for protection from animals and people. Some of the more advanced technology they use are things like excel spreadsheets to keep track of information they need to keep track of.
