The effect of watching many zombie movies has put my friend and I in a state to eliminate all human infecting viruses. Doing so, humans will be free from dying through viruses; not only that, but it will prevent a zombie apocalypse from occurring. Viruses might appear to be extremely small; however, they are known to be harmful to the human body. They are capable of infecting and hijacking a human body, creating health hazards as minor as the common flu and as disastrous as the AIDS epidemic.
Viruses have many types; one is an RNA virus. RNA virus is a virus that has RNA as its genetic material. One of the human diseases that is caused by RNA virus is the Ebola virus. In order for someone to be infected by Ebola, one must come into contact with the virus. It can enter the human body through the nose, mouth or breaks in the skin. Once inside, it finds a host cell to infect. The viral enzymes take the enzymes of the host cell and begin making copies of the viral genetic instructions and new viral proteins using the virus's genetic instructions and the cell's enzyme machinery. The new copies of the viral genetic instructions are packaged inside the new …show more content…
Hence, CRISPR is a gene editing technology. It is faster, cheaper and more accurate than previous techniques of editing DNA and has a wide range of possible applications. Fighting viruses can happen through CRISPR. CRISPR was developed as a weapon for fighting off viruses. When viruses attack a bacterial cell, for instance, they inject a load of their own DNA into the cell. The cell responds by positioning CRISPR, which consists of a strand of RNA, hooked up to an enzyme called Cas9n. The RNA is set to recognize and land on the virus DNA, carefully covering it in a pocket of the Cas9n enzyme. Cas9n makes a cut in the DNA, which disables the virus’
