When dealing with an atrocious case regarding domestic violence, someone’s life or freedom is potentially at stake; thus, the victim should want all of the facts pertaining to the case to be presented to the investigating officer. Unfortunately, due to fear, this is not always the case. Victims are vulnerable and often in fear of retaliation.
