Does all the blame for cyberbullying fall on social networking sites? Social networking sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., are created for people to stay in touch with friends and family that are far from them. Cyberbullying gets out of control when users abuse the sites to harass others. Skipping school, be unwilling to attend school, and receive poor grades, as more likely amongst kids that have been a victim of cyberbullying (What is). Kids will avoid school, and other places that they have to interact with others, if they are a victim of cyberbullying. When kids start avoiding school, they won’t learn the material that is covered in their classes. When kids aren’t attending class they’re grades start to decline. Why should we enforce steps to stop cyberbullying? Cyberbullying is like a disease that has stuck to the teenagers in America. With all the emotional distress it causes teenager, it disables them from learning. The “drama” from cyberbullying affects their grades. To make sure American youths have a good education, programs are needed to put an end to cyberbullying. Even though, there are many programs to prevent cyberbullying, there are more steps that need to be taken to make sure everyone is safe.
