Bzzzzzzzzzz!!! As I look up towards a building and see a person on top of a high building. The sound came out sounding like a high voltage rate going through wire, just like when you pass an electricity pole and you hear that “Bzzzzz” sound. I thought it was amazing learning how to weld and learning how to connect metal by using equipment and objects. In order to become a welder you have to go to school for two years. The salary is really good after you become a welder. When I first moved down here to Odessa I was here to visit in the summer but my family ran out of money. We got summer jobs and we liked the pay here. I was always into welding and I didn’t really knew about it much. Then I figured out we lived in a place that welding was popular. Welding is used for constructing buildings, bridges, and other structures and to join pipes in pipelines, power plants, and refineries. After the classes of OC (Odessa College) I will be making a salary of $20,000 to $50,000 or more. Then I’ll make about $16.50 to $26.50 an hour. Once I get hired ill be responsible of melting metal together with an electric current. I am responsible to connect metal and manufacture buildings, bridges, and in constructions.
