We often compare the disease of addiction to cancer because no one chooses to get cancer, just like no one chooses to become an alcoholic (Facts About Alcohol). Both diseases need professional treatment and both diseases have their ways. Although, living with my father who suffers from this is extremely hard on myself and my family.
