Young, almost broke, and attending college
It is beneficial to go to college because college provides more opportunity, higher earnings, and stability for a family. Besides college benefiting your future and your children’s future, it can also contribute to your past. College gives you the opportunity to become what you wanted when you were small or fulfill a dream and make your imaginations about growing up and turn them into a reality. Believe it or not, fraternities and sororities are a great advantage to have on others that didn’t attend college when it comes to community service hours and social skills.
Some opportunities include getting to listen to experts in the field you would like to go to, more job opportunities, and better job opportunities. Based on economy and job projection calculated by Georgetown University in 2018, approximately 63% of jobs will require some college education or degree. If you were ever small and dreamed to be a doctor, veterinarian, lawyer, cop, etc.. Going to school can help you achieve them and you can be whatever you want to be. Although someone might argue that college is too expensive, it’s really all about how you go about it. Student debts seem unending to some people that used them. There are so many other ways to pay for college like applying for scholarships, grants, or saving. Most kids get financial aid if their household makes less than a certain amount. Some Native Americans or some students get more benefits because of their ethnicity because colleges are looking for diversity. Students attending college that need expensive books for their courses can also go online and buy used books to save money and it isn’t mandatory to live on campus which cuts the cost of dorms. Asking your counselor about which way to handle expenses is always a smart
