Informative Essay About Thanksgiving

Do you ever wonder what thanksgiving was like years ago or for your classmates. When looking at the different things people do during thanksgiving you can find a lot of unique things. I have asked three classmates and done some research and i've some unique things to share with you today
The way i celebrate thanksgiving is sort of different from back then and my classmates but we did have some similar traditions. When asking my classmates i found out that when they celebrate thanksgiving there family visits and my family visits as well. That's a similarity that most people have though. I also found out that most of my classmates eat turkey as well which is not a surprising similarity since most people eat turkey on thanksgiving. When researching about the traditions back then i found out that i had a few traditions that were the same. I found out that back then during the first thanksgiving they normally put salt on the table which is a thing my family does as well. One more thing I also found out was that they usually celebrated thanksgiving during the afternoon which my family does too because my mom

My family doesn't go black friday shopping. My mom would rather stay away from that chaos. After eating the parents and kids separate as in the parents stay upstairs and the kids go downstairs. When thanksgiving comes around my family doesn't really eat the foods that go with the holiday. We normally eat more of mexican food then actual thanksgiving related foods. When i'm with my friends or cousins we normally listen to music very loud in my room or downstairs. Now the differences with traditions back then. We eat vegetables more so than meat. We use a fork and don't usually eat with our hands as said to be done back then. I'm pretty sure no one eats thanksgiving dinner with their hands anymore.
