To answer my question I had to research how people did there makeup through the decades my aim though doing this research was to see how far we have come in makeup and if what we do now is similar to what people have done in the past. I conducted my research on line by using websites and picture. I used these methods of research because it is easily accessed and is easy to find the information I needed. I have written a blurb about what I think were the top trends in all the decades I researched.

50s
In the 50s Pastels such as, pale pinks, greens, blues and yellows were very popular. The aim of makeup in this era was to look more feminine. Pinks, purple-reds, and orange-reds lips were the most common in the early 1950s Pale skin

A little bit of blush was used to warm up the compaction. Lip colours could be natural or red. Combination of pink and brown, blue-pink, lilac-blue eye shadows were popular. Eyes are very well contoured and the maximum attention is dragged on the external corner of the upper eyelid, which is emphasized with black eyeliner. In combination with black, violet blue or ultramarine can be used. Eyebrows are thin and well-drawn, and the lips are very powerful colourer, in dark shades of red or brown.

2015
In 5015 the trend is to bring out your natural features this is by using eye shadows that bring out your eye colour. Lips are often over drawn to create a larger look. Eye brows are a very important part of you face they frame your face often filled in to make them look fuller. Foundation is the same shade as your face. Contouring is a popular trend that is used to slim the face by using a darker powder in the hollows of the cheeks. Highlighting the cheek bones give you a healthy glow and bring out your cheek bones.

In conclusion, I feel like makeup has changed dramatically in some ways and hasn’t changed at all in others over the past 65 years. The point of putting makeup on has remained the same to look good. Trends can change really fast and will continue to change in 10 years will be doing our makeup different to how we do it now. With technology trend are changing a lot faster than they used

Because of the tradition of prostitutes who made use of excessive amounts of make up to hide their age and exaggerate their good looks, for the longest time cosmetics were totally abandoned by majority of the European population. Change finally took place after European soldiers returned from the crusades in the Middle East, bringing home new exotic products as well as knowledge. Among those products were many types of cosmetics, which were at first adopted only by nobility and high class citizens. I have been using makeup since the last couple months that I was in sixth grade. I did not absolutely require makeup, but I figured I’d have to come across it one way or another down the road. I have come to realize that there is not a perfect way to apply makeup, but there is a way to do your makeup to where it fits you and what you desire to look like. First, you want to choose a primer, which gives you a fresh start when applying your makeup, the correct liquid foundation and face powder that matches your skin tone so that it blends well, a powder brush, your choice of blush, any mascara, and lipstick if that is what you like.…

Some people claim seeing a man wearing makeup is “untraditional,” but this statement is untrue. Victoria Sherrow, author of “For Appearance ' Sake: The Historical Encyclopedia of Good Looks, Beauty, and Grooming,” states men have used grooming products across many centuries and cultures. Ancient Egyptian men (including the likes of King Tut) used kohl eyeliner to define their eyes. In the Roman Empire, military leaders matched their lip colors to their nail polish (Sherrow). During the early 1500s in England, Sherrow writes, both men and women “used face powders, color cosmetics, skin moisturizers and fragrances.”…

The history has changed dramatically in the past one hundred fifty years or so. The reason for only looking back at one hundred fifty years ago is because fashion and beauty wasn’t as big of a deal, for clothing was for necessity not for the latest fashion trend. Although the rich did have the time and money to look a certain way, the average person did not have those two key factors. In the early 1900’s was the real start to industrialism. There were also strikes for eight hour days, instead of working unreasonable hours, this extra time meant people were able to entertain themselves on other things.…

I believe that God has predestined our salvation, rather than us having the free will to chose when and how it happens. The Bible stated clearly that God has “predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,” (Ephesians 1:5). God must have predestined history at least to a precise point, in order for His prophecies to be fulfilled. He indicated many times that He had sent Jesus to earth for just that reason.…
