Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Information literacy is a set of integrated abilities which is the reflective discover of information, understanding how information is produced and valued, using information to create new knowledge and participate ethically in communities of learning. Information literacy is important because it helps people understand what kind of information it is, promote problem solving and thinking skills, and give it some sort of value, and to use that knowledge to better yourself. A quote by University of Texas Libraries explains that “Information literacy skills are important for students´ academic, work and personal lives. In academia, discipline specific information is constantly changing, and much of what students learn in class will become outdated. An information literate student is a lifelong learner, with the skills necessary to continually find and evaluate information about new developments in an academic discipline. Stress is something that I have always had to deal with ever since I entered high school because I went to an early college high school where I am taking more credits than I am how being 16-19 hours. Once it came to finals week or midterm I would stress out the most because of the number of classes and procrastinate way too often. I would like to learn more about time management for I also have a problem with that wasting my time so easily playing video games or some other unproductive matter. I also want to learn about ethics to see why human beings do the things that they do weather it being ethical or unethical and listening to the response I get from it and give my own personal feedback. What I want to be able to do by the end of the course is to gather information that I did not know to help my personal knowledge and get just even a bit more
