What is cancer and why is it bad? Cancer is caused by abnormalities (an abnormal condition or state) in the genetic material of cells (Rice). These abnormalities can be caused under the influence of something like chemicals, radiation, pollutants, and abnormalities that is presented in a person’s body from when they were born or the person may have inherited. Cancer is a general term used when typical cells grow and divide wildly, invading neighboring tissues, and consistently stretch to other locations. These abnormal cells take over healthy tissues and can spread through the blood and lymph system. There are over 100 types of cancers and each affects a different area of tissue in your body.
