Informal Letter To Aamir

I am writing this letter in reference to my son’s character. I hope that this will help shed light on his situation. Aamir is not a menace, he grew up in suburban, and middle class neighborhoods, graduated and went on to attend college studying automotive technology. He has even made the honor roll twice while studying addiction & counseling. However, before these achievements, he has had some tragic mishaps in his life, such as; losing his only brother, Solomon to suicide, his father killed suddenly in an auto accident eighteen months after his brother. Not to go without mentioning his best friend was murder at a house party over a drink and then later his uncle gunned down dropping his daughter off at my mother so they can go shopping for her prom. The police said someone gave them pictures from his Facebook page holding a rear firearm at the gun range and in order for him to get out of jail; he needed to do the same. They said, they had a warrant for his arrest from Westchester County as a fugitive from justice for a gun from the Facebook pictures. However, they never found a gun, so they used old charges to violate him in Connecticut then had New York violate his probation, after they made a deal with him to help them. I explained to them that Aamir would not have a gun around his nieces or in my house. The old army vest found in the basement was not Aamir’s, nor was the Taser (I had found it on by a curb downtown) and put it in the draw at that time he was not living with me. Aamir is not a threat to the community as they have him to be. He has always made he’s court dates. He has no serious crimes, except his drug addiction, poor judgments, and bad selection of friends. He has never been to prison for assault, murder, robbery or any hard crimes that put people lives at
