We drove and on the way back, we stayed in a hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. Our plans for the day were to go to Six Flags and go on the many rides. Sadly, due to the rain, the park was closed temporarily. We hadn’t had much downtime on the trip, so we decided to just go to the hotel’s pool and swim until the rain passed. We would then go to Six Flags. Little did I know that the next hour or so would ensure my future plans. This was our last day before we went home, therefore Stephanie and I were missing my youngest sister Miranda, who we left with my aunt for the duration of our trip. In the pool area, there was a small girl named Eleanor and her mother, Ariana. This was Eleanor’s first swimming experience and her mother was having difficulty getting her comfortable in the water. Stephanie and I both love working with small children and for the rest of that hour, we slowly got Eleanor used to the water, we even got her into the pool. Working with Eleanor made Stephanie and I miss Miranda even more. Afterwards, Ariana told me that I should become a teacher, which impacted me to this day. It had stopped raining and my family went to Six Flags and enjoyed the rides. When we got back to the hotel, Ariana and Eleanor left Stephanie and I a card that read “If only there were more people like you in the world...there’d be more smiles like
