People believe that the witches are the biggest influences and I can see their point. The witches told Macbeth “All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, than of Cawdor!” (I.iii.49). This means all hail the thane of Cawdor before Macbeth was even the thane of Cawdor. Macbeth thought that they were crazy and didn’t believe what they were saying what was going to happen. Macbeth pushed him towards killing Duncan for a while. Also she knew that Macbeth could do great things and wanted him to be the ruler of Scotland. Lady Macbeth stated “thou wouldst be great” (I.v.15). So Lady Macbeth is saying that he could be great and that she will help and be the biggest influence so he can get there.
In conclusion, I believe that Lady Macbeth is the biggest influence on the actions that Macbeth made. She wanted him to be the king of Scotland and she pushed him until he actually got there. She also helped him with the crime when Macbeth couldn’t go back and finish what he started she went and finished it.
