Man is known by the company he keeps. We are living in a society, where people observe us how we live, eat and behave with others in different situations. The keen observations of the people around us and consistency of our behavior to a particular situation assist the people to formulate some views regarding our personality. Thus one can state with great certainty that the views of the people around us determine our personal identity.
In fact, personal identity is a perception you develop about yourself that progresses throughout your life. It is not necessary that you have control over all the aspects of your life which reflect your personal identity. It can also take account of aspects of your life that you have no control over, for instance where you grew up or the color of your skin, as well as choices you make in life, like how you spend your time and what you believe. If some drastic and consistent changes are observed in the behavior of the individual, then people also change their view point about the personal identity of the individual. Identity is a core and unavoidable part of all our lives. Our actions provide clear reflection of identity. Undoubtedly, one can say that our actions shape our identity, and in turn, our identity shapes our actions. The individual himself may not be able to observe the changes in his behavior or interaction, but the observation of the people is the exact reflection of your personal identity.
