The culture in which individuals participate in, have sets of ideas and beliefs, on what should be taught at school, who can go to school, and who can teach it . However, many people consider it to be both, a science and an art. Teaching can be considered a science because there is a lot of research involved. Research helps to find better techniques for teaching, on how students learn better and different techniques for classroom management. There always room to improve our current techniques. Teaching also involves a lot of scientific information like how the brain works. This helps to understand, in what ways our students will be able to retain information better. Science also helps determine what to teach. Such things like survival skills to help students adapt well in our adult society. Teaching can be considered an art, because not everyone knows how to teach. Although, we being as infants teaching ourselves many things, like crying to receive attention, how to crawl, how to walk…etc. Teaching at professional level takes lots of creativity, sensibility, and patience; that many people don’t have. Finally, teaching is both, rather than just one or the other, because we need both the research as the creativity and patience. Teaching is a balance of both.
