Inflation In College

Decent Essays
According to College Board in 2015 the average cost of college at a private school is 32,405 dollars an year. The cost of a state school is 9,410 dollars and for out of state students the out-of-state tuition is more like 23,893 dollars. The United States economy and like other countries has relative inflation through time. For example the average cost of a loaf of bread in 1950 was ninety-nine cents. Now a loaf of bread goes for about two dollars and thirty cents. That is about a one hundred and fourteen percent inflation increase. This remains the same for almost everything in America. Between 2015 and 1980 there has been a one hundred and fourteen percent increase in the cost of goods. The price change is somewhat due to an increasing population.
