The Infant Brain is evidently larger than all other words, as it is the main focus. Similarly, we chose to include Neuron seeing as it is the main functional unit of the brain no matter what stage of life an individual is at, however is dominant in the infant stage, as the infant is just beginning to develop and therefore receiving an extreme amount of neuronal signals.. Neurons are constantly going through a cycle and the ones that are not functioning correctly or are not actively being used, eventually die off forever, which relates to our word choice of “Use It or Lose It” and why we chose to enlarge this term as well. Nature and Nurture are also significantly important terms and were chosen to explain the importance of the environment an infant develops and grows throughout as well as the type of care he/she is receiving from its caregiver. The five senses
