Domesticated animals are a huge plus for a civilization because they can be used for food, milk, clothing and for hard labor. Not all animals can be turned into a domesticated animal. There are certain requirements that have to be meet if you want an animal to benefit the civilization. The domesticated animal needs to have a easy diet, fast growth, breeds a lot, good behavior, and the animals need a dominate hierarchy. So if the animal doesn’t meet the requirement you be wasting your time. The civilizations without domesticated still had to survive with what they got and continue to hunt for meat instead of having animals like cows and pigs to harvest they won’t be able to develop like Eurasia but they had developed in a different way. But will not be as strong and healthy like the civilizations with domesticated animals. Europeans were the first to develop steel because they had all the materials they need to make steel like having a dry climate and iron and time to be to make steel. The Europeans weren’t the only ones that made steel, one the people that also made steel were the Zulus. Despite being able to develop steel they didn’t raise like the Europeans. In fact the Europeans colonized the Zulus and thus stop/slowed the development of Africa’s steel. Europeans also went and colonized New Guinea unlike the Zulus, New guinea was still using stone tools and sticks. They did not live in an environment that was dry for long lasting fires and they never had the time to do something else other than gathering food to survive. The Incas on the other hand should have been able to develop steel but they didn’t. That’s because the Incas did not have iron but did had gold. They were skilled enough to be able to create gold but gold is a soft metal that can’t be used as a weapon. When the Europeans/Spanish came they conquered their land and stole all their gold and left them to die from diseases they brought over. The Europeans got the upper hand with the development of steel and just treated everyone else like they were primitive compared to them. So people weren’t getting treated equally just because they weren’t as developed as
