Women have been discriminated in the Canadian society from the very beginning and have suffered while paid as well as paid unpaid work. Looking at the history, women in the early 20th century were loaded with work at homes and also held responsible for working outside in order to have bread and butter. They were the victims of the society as they always suffered to work on law rates and bear bad working conditions. This trend started even before the existence of Canada. As stated above, the victims of this situation were not only men but also large number of women who worked in these factories. They were discriminated due to their gender, given low scale jobs and required to work in poor working conditions with lower wage rates.
