Last December record amounts of snow and cold temperatures hit the U.S. and most part of Europe, which led to chaos in the whole travel industry (Jainchill, 2011). Many flights all over the world were cancelled and some of the airports were shut due to the adverse weather conditions. Moreover, even train or bus services, namely in United Kingdom, were not fully operational due to the same reasons. Such things like terrorist attacks or natural disasters always have big influence on travel industry as it is usually unexpected and unpredictable. That is quite similar to the situation in 2001 after the 9/11 terrorist attack. Moreover, it was not only the airline industry, which suffered setback. Catering, hotel and some entertainment companies also lost large amount money ten years ago.
