As soon as all production systems are con-nected with each other an endless list of possibility on the information technology side will be possible. This means that trough the integration of machines with the ERP or any other system it will be possible to program and define certain functionalities which will enhance the productivity and quality massively. Furthermore with the on-going automation of data collection business decision and production management can be executed even more precisely due to real-time data and virtualization.
However Industrie 4.0 will come with a bigger investment. As stated new ma-chines have to developed or purchased and older generation of machines have to be replaced. Also in the virtual world new programs and functions have to be programed, tested and implemented in the ERP or similar systems which will be a major cost fac-tor. With the effort of the last few years like clearly structure the production line and create several value streams and the purchases of a modern ERP and Quality man-agement system the cornerstone to move towards Industrie 4.0 have been laid.

Limits of this thesis
As the goal of this thesis is only to give a first and general overview about the subject Industrie 4.0, the company and the possible problems, the recommendation are rather short and more general. Industrie 4.0 on the other side is a new concept and still in development nowadays as for example new standards have still to be defined. Fur-thermore the list of possible recommendations or solution especially regarding the in-formation, functional and business layer are endless.
The basic conceptual design of Industrie 4.0 has been presented in this thesis with the five different modules or CPS used in ABC Ltd. The design is kept on a very general level as all the modules and recommendations are representing a separate pro-ject due to their complexity. To move towards Industrie 4.0 a lot of effort is needed in the future for a successful transformation and implementation of those technologies. Furthermore as Industrie 4.0 is a new subject several things will slightly change in the future or new concepts will still come up in the future. Therefor continuous research in the field will still be necessary in the
