I picked up the question where industrialization shaped economy and society of the western regions of the country. As we all know in the three decades following 1870, more land was settled than in all the previous history of the country. Hundreds of Americans with their families moved to West by hoping to find better life and finding gold. On the other hand, economy day by day was developing and during Civil War Congress developed an economic blue print. There are some examples that industrialization shape the economic and societies of the western regions of the country. Industrialization shapes the economy and society during 19th century. For example, according to primary source “the women of the cultured East came with husbands and brothers to help them to build home and to own the land” (primary source 3). Back to that day’s women were always victims and used to follow their husbands all over the world. In addition, industrialization shaped society as well especially made people to move to Western territories. For example, in primary source I found quiet interesting thing about society that moved to West. For example, M.E. Leases gives an example “We came with the roses of health on our cheek, the light of hope in our eyes, we left the old familiar paths instead we endured hardships, fear and sorrow, our little babes were born upon these wide”. Well as we can see society is not happy of moving to West and leaving their houses and relatives. They more likely suffered because of moving to West. For example, they unsheltered prairies, toiled in the cabin and in the filed (primary source 3). Some people even didn’t have a place to live because to build the house you need the materials and population in West didn’t have that much money. We can conclude that industrialization definitely shaped the society and their life
