Essay On The Pros And Cons Of Industrialism

Something dangerous that has arose over time is industrialism. Industrialism is the process of manurfacting something, such as food. While it can be a good thing to advance in technology, industrialism does not have all pros and can be considered dangerous. That is because industrialism does not promote a “healthy” lifestyle, and in fact strips products of their nutrients. A personal example I have is that whenever I eat a piece of candy or fast food, my family would always tell me to eat “real” food. I was always confused on why they would say that, but later I realized that the “food” I ate was extremely processed and not very healthy. It would leave me feeling sluggish and unenegerzed, and to make matters worse, I never exciersised due to the lack of energy I had. That would put us back on track and keep us healthy. People can grow their own food and eat it fresh instead of eating processed food. However, even though this is a solution, it is very rare that this would ever be implemented. Many people would find it difficult to grow food in today’s world, since it would take a long time to grow food, and many people do not have time. They have work and school or activites that need to be done. Finding time to grow food would be an impossible chore for some. Our foraging ancestors did not have to worry about jobs or school; they had plenty of leisure time, and the time it took to obtain food was lower than what is considered part-time in today’s world. Additionally, factories and the food industry make a plethora of money from their food. They would not want to turn into an industry that produces fresh food, as many people would scoff at that idea, since they would believe it does not taste
