I believe that the steam engine was one of the best inventions in the industrial revolution. The textile industry created better inventions. The steam engine was the first way trying to make a cheaper and convenient source of power. Coal miners were using pumps that were powered to remove the water from mine shafts that were deep. This invention that was created in 1705, it was to expensive to run, but gave better ideas for the future. One person thought for two years to make a better invention.
