The Industrial Revolution was a period from the 18th to the 19th centuries, in which agrarian, rural societies in Europe and America witnessed modern economic changes in mass production, oppression of inadequate resources, and the rise of industrial workers as well as, advances in machinery and technology as a whole. (Modern World History, ch. 8) Prior to the Industrial Revolution, the Agricultural Revolution occurred and in that revolution new farm techniques with the addition of modern machines and scientific methods greatly helped the quality of food; Cities began to rapidly rise in population and because of that reason the Industrial Revolution was sparked. Sir Henry Bessemer was an important Inventor and Entrepreneur of the Industrial Revolution. Bessemer developed the first process for manufacturing steel, a very important component in that time period. Bessemer also invented a way in which he combined gold power from brass which brought him great riches. What I like about Bessemer is that his iron was phosphorus-free, an attribute that was not very common for ironmaster at the time; using the advantage of phosphorus-free iron Bessemer was able to enter the steel market on his own and in turn gained many profits from
